Pachakamak 100% pure raw cacao

Pachakamak 80% dark cacao

A sophisticated blend that perfectly balances high-intensity cacao with just enough sweetness. This bar is designed to be a daily luxury, offering a rich and satisfying chocolate experience.

 

Pachakamak 63% semi-sweet cacao

A smoother, more approachable blend featuring unrefined cane sugar (panela). This special ingredient imparts a distinctive malty, caramel-like finish, making it a truly unique treat.

Heirloom Nacional status

Our cacao is of the Nacional genetic variety, native only to Ecuador, and proudly "Fino de Aroma" certified. This distinction places it among the top 5% of the world's cacao harvest, guaranteeing exceptional quality and flavour.

What makes our cacao exceptional isn't just the percentage; it’s the genetic heritage and the terroir of Puerto Quito. Here's what makes our cacao stand out:

1. Heirloom Nacional Beans (Fino de Aroma)

Unlike mass-produced "bulk" cacao, we use the Cacao Nacional variety. It is world-renowned for its "Arriba" floral notes. When you taste our 80% or 100% bars, you will notice natural hints of jasmine, blackberry, and earth—flavours that don't exist in standard high-street chocolate.

2. The "Medicine of the Soul" (Health Benefits)

Because we use artisanal, low-heat fermentation and roasting:

  • High Theobromine: Provides a gentle, long-lasting energy boost without the "crash" of caffeine.
  • Magnesium & Antioxidants: Our 100% presentation is a nutrient-dense superfood, perfect for heart health and mood regulation.

3. Sweetened with unrefined raw sugar cane - Panela (The 63% Bar)

Most semi-sweet chocolates use refined white sugar. Our 63% bar uses organic panela (unrefined cane sugar). This preserves the natural minerals.

We bypass industrial supply chains, working directly with 24 families in Puerto Quito. This ensures our cloud forest habitat remains protected and provides farmers with a premium, dignified wage, fostering sustainable communities.
